AI can sound certain while skipping the part that matters: evidence. My working rule is simple. Find the original source, note its date, and separate what it says from what I think it means.
Try it today: ask any AI for one primary source and one way its answer could be wrong.
Less noise, more signal

OpenClaw 2026.10.6 requires a patched Node.js runtime and checks that requirement before an update. In plain English: a useful AI tool should refuse an unsafe upgrade before it breaks your setup.
If you run an AI agent locally, check the release notes and your runtime version before upgrading. A backup is still your friend.
Our rule: no source, no story. A release note is evidence that a feature was announced; it is not proof that it works in every setup.
